Eimei is a school famous for its sports clubs. First-year Taiki Inomata plays badminton there and is nothing special yet. He is always in the gym before classes start. So is Chinatsu Kano. She is a year ahead of him and the ace of the girls' basketball team. Taiki has a huge crush on her. Then her parents have to relocate overseas. Chinatsu refuses to leave her team behind. Taiki's mother is an old friend of her mother. So Chinatsu comes to live at the Inomata house. Now his crush lives under the same roof and nobody at school can know. Blue Box is a gentle and earnest romance about first love and sports. Each of them is chasing a spot at the national tournament. It suits readers who like slow-burn romance, sincere characters and athletes who take their sport seriously.
