Black Torch
BLACK TORCH
Jiro Azuma can hold a conversation with a cat. His knack for talking with animals made him a target for bullies as a kid, and animals became his closest friends. He also comes from a shinobi family and has the training to show for it. None of that prepares him for Rago. The battered black cat he takes in is an immortal mononoke whose title is Black Star of Doom, and other mononoke want him badly. When one of them catches up, Jiro takes a fatal blow from its claws. Rago saves him by fusing with him. Bureau of Espionage agents then take the pair into custody, and the two end up fighting mononoke for the Bureau. Expect ninja action, monster battles and an odd partnership between a boy and a cat.
