Yuzu Aihara is a flashy and outgoing gyaru. When her mother marries again Yuzu has to switch to Aihara Academy. At this girls' school her dyed blonde hair and customized uniform break the rules. Yuzu has never had a boyfriend and badly wants her first romance. It does not take long for her to cross Mei Aihara. Mei runs the student council and rarely lets any feeling show. That same evening Mei moves into Yuzu's home. She is the daughter of the man Yuzu's mother married. The two girls now have to share a bedroom. Soon Mei forces a kiss on her and Yuzu cannot stop thinking about it. Citrus is a yuri romance full of melodrama and push and pull. It suits readers who like intense relationship drama between two girls with opposite personalities. Some early scenes involve forced kisses and sexual tension.
