Kirio has a two-member fan club he barely knows about. Its members are best friends Aimi and Nami, who share a hopeless crush on him. By any normal measure Kirio is unremarkable. Neither girl dares to actually talk to him. Obsessing about him together is another matter. They read secret meaning into his soccer jersey number. They weigh how much a loud fart would hurt his appeal. They hold bedtime rituals in the hope that he will turn up in their dreams. The art keeps his face out of view, and the crush often looks like an excuse for two very odd girls to stick together. This is absurd gag comedy with a real friendship underneath. Fans of Nichijou or of teenage characters drawn messy and real should try it.
