In the world of this comedy, maids keep the full traditional uniform of long black dress and frilly apron. They also wear skate shoes and ride skateboards everywhere. A board is to a maid what a broom is to a witch. They take it on errands around town and to the half-pipe for fun. Hana is one of these maids. Her days are a mix of skating practice and arguments with the other maids. Then the quirky lady of the mansion appears. She loves skateboarding herself and sets her maids harder challenges. The series grew out of illustrations of maids on skateboards by Suzushiro, an artist from Okinawa, which spread widely on social media. The tone is lighthearted and cute. Fans of easygoing comedy and of skate culture should both feel at home.
