This rom-com cares less about whether the couple gets together than about what two very different people do once they try. Yusuke Tani keeps to himself, wears glasses and says exactly what he thinks. Miyu Suzuki, the girl at the next desk, has liked him since the day she first saw him. She is a cheerful pink-haired gyaru who works hard at fitting in and rarely says no. What she does not know is that Tani likes her too. Their friends get plenty of page time as well. Shy Nishi, self-conscious Taira and airheaded Yamada each have small romances and worries of their own. The humor is gentle and the drama stays small and real. It suits readers who want a warm school romance with a strong ensemble.
