GTO: The Early Years - Shonan Junai Gumi

湘南純愛組！

Shonan Junai Gumi!

Before he was Great Teacher Onizuka, Eikichi Onizuka was half of Oni-Baku, the most feared fighting duo in Shonan. His partner is Ryuji Danma. The pair are bikers who never back down from a brawl, and that same reputation keeps girls away. Both want to change that badly enough to turn away from gang life. Going straight is not easy for them. Rivals old and new keep coming for them, and the attempt drags them into one wild situation after another. Early on it plays as pure slapstick. Heavier stories arrive as it goes on. Tohru Fujisawa wrote and drew both series. It is meant for older teens and adults. It suits fans of delinquent comedies with a soft heart under the punches.
