Muneyuki Kaneshiro has 4 series with English volumes. Only 1 of them is complete in English. All counts and dates below are as of October 2026. Kaneshiro is credited with the story on all four. Each one has a different artist. Every title is also on the Muneyuki Kaneshiro creator page.

Blue Lock

Japan's national team has just crashed out of another World Cup. The Japan Football Union reacts with a radical project. That project is called Blue Lock.

Kaneshiro wrote the story. Yuusuke Nomura is the other credited author. The genres are action, drama and sports. The themes are battle royale, athletics, fitness and anti-hero.

This is the big one. Blue Lock is still releasing in Japan. It has 40 volumes there. Mangainfo lists 35 English volumes. Volume 35 carries a date of 20 October 2026 from Penguin Random House. English readers are five volumes behind Japan.

Jagaaan

This is a seinen series that mixes horror with action. Kaneshiro writes it. Kensuke Nishida draws it. The genres are action, drama, horror, mystery and supernatural. Aliens, super power, anti-hero and tragedy are its themes.

Jagaaan is finished in Japan at 14 volumes. Mangainfo has no count yet for English volumes out. The next one listed is volume 2. KANA has it set for 1 December 2026.

As the Gods Will

Here the numbers are simple. Kaneshiro wrote the story and Akeji Fujimura is the other credited author. The genres are action, drama, horror and supernatural. Its themes tell you what kind of book it is: battle royale, death game, survival and gore.

As the Gods Will finished in Japan at 5 volumes. All 5 are out in English. It is the only Kaneshiro series that is complete in English. No further English volume is listed.

BLUE LOCK -EPISODE NAGI-

The second series here with the Blue Lock name is listed under one genre. That genre is sports. Its themes are football, battle royale, POV and LGBTQ+ themes. Kaneshiro wrote the story. Kouta Sannomiya is the other credited author.

BLUE LOCK -EPISODE NAGI- is finished in Japan at 8 volumes. English has 7 of them. Volume 8 is due from Kodansha on 27 October 2026. That is the last Japanese volume. Once it lands the English edition will match Japan.

Where to start

The numbers point to a clear order for a new reader.

  • As the Gods Will is the easiest start. It runs 5 volumes and all of them are out in English.
  • BLUE LOCK -EPISODE NAGI- comes next. It has 7 English volumes out of 8. The final one is dated 27 October 2026.
  • Blue Lock is the longest commitment. Mangainfo lists 35 English volumes and Japan is still going at 40.
  • Jagaaan is one to wait on. It is finished in Japan at 14 volumes. The next English volume is volume 2 on 1 December 2026.

A reader who likes death games and horror can start with As the Gods Will. A reader who came for football can try BLUE LOCK -EPISODE NAGI- or go straight into Blue Lock.
