What One-Punch Man is about
Saitama became a hero just for fun. His training was nothing fancy. Every day for three years he did push-ups, sit-ups and squats and then went for a long run. That routine also took his hair. Now every monster that attacks his city drops after one punch. He is completely bored. More than anything he wants a fight that pushes him.
Then Genos shows up. He is a cyborg who takes everything very seriously. He begs Saitama to take him on as a student. His goal is to learn the secret behind that strength.
The series is a parody of superhero and battle manga. It still delivers huge fights. The genres are Action, Comedy, Sci-Fi and Supernatural. Its themes are Superhero, Super Power, Urban Fantasy and Parody. If you like dry humor and big spectacle this one fits.
Who makes it
One-Punch Man began as a webcomic by ONE. The manga is a redrawn version by Yuusuke Murata. His action art is very detailed. The series started in Japan in 2012.
