Gin no Saji

Hiromu Arakawa spent her childhood on a Hokkaido dairy farm, and this series draws on that life. Ooezo Agricultural High School has plenty of students who already know their futures. Some will take over family farms. Aki Mikage from the Equestrian Club comes from a family that raises horses. Yuugo Hachiken, a top student from Sapporo, has no plan at all. Ooezo was his fallback when he flunked the entrance exam for his first-choice school. It also put distance between him and his strict father. He figured the lessons would be easy. Chores with the animals and in the fields soon end that idea. It is funny and warm, and you learn a lot about farming along the way.
