Remina

地獄星レミナ

Jigokusei Remina

A planet that eats worlds is heading for Earth, and it carries the name of a girl. That girl is Remina. Her father Dr. Oguro found the planet as it came out of a wormhole. She was born around the same time, so he named it after her. The find won him a Nobel Prize and made her a celebrity with an agent and a job as the face of a construction company. Once the planet turns toward Earth, fame becomes a liability. Frightened crowds decide the girl must be to blame. Junji Ito's horror goes cosmic here, yet the mobs are as scary as the thing in the sky. The story turns very violent and cruel. It suits readers who can take a bleak story.
