Ryo has all the time in the world, quite literally: he does not age. He will need it. Phi is the world he is reborn into and water magic is his gift. Home, though, is a remote patch of wilderness where his only neighbors are deadly monsters. His first spells barely fill a cup. So he settles into a shack and spends years training, hunting and treating water like a science problem. His optimism carries him through. Eventually a shipwrecked swordsman named Abel washes ashore, and Ryo's quiet corner of the world gets a lot bigger. It suits readers who like survival-flavored isekai, clever uses of magic and a lead who refuses to be hurried.
