A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow
熱帯魚は雪に焦がれる
Nettaigyo wa Yuki ni Kogareru
At the start nobody in this story says what she feels out loud. That restraint is the appeal. Koyuki Honami runs her school's Aquarium Club alone. She is well regarded at school, yet she has no real friends. Konatsu Amano is new in town. She was sent from Tokyo to live by the sea while her father works abroad, and the move has shaken her more than she lets on. Konatsu signs up, and Koyuki is the reason. The pull runs both ways, but neither girl puts it into words. Their club time goes to the tanks and to a salamander that spends most of its days hiding in its cave. It is a slow, gentle yuri story for readers who prefer feelings shown in small gestures.
