APOSIMZ
人形の国
Ningyou no Kuni
Knights of Sidonia creator Tsutomu Nihei builds another strange world here. On the giant artificial planet Aposimz, people scrape by on the frozen surface because their side lost to the core fifty centuries ago. Cold is the least of it. Hostile automatons prowl out there, and a sickness called Frame Disease gradually turns people into shambling half-machine zombies. A few are Regular Frames instead, who never age and can armor up for battle. When the Rebedoan Empire attacks his settlement, Etherow meets Titania. This strange AI offers him a code that can turn him into a Frame, plus seven special bullets. From then on the Empire is his enemy. The art is pale and sparse, like a snowfield. Fans of moody science fiction that explains little up front will find plenty to puzzle over.
