Girls' Last Tour
少女終末旅行
Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou
Chito and Yuuri are two girls left in a dead world. They ride a small half-track up through the levels of an enormous ruined city. Food and fuel are always running low. Chito is serious and loves books. Yuuri is carefree and always hungry. She is also handy with a rifle. There is little plot in the usual sense. Each short chapter covers a small event. It might be a meal, a new building to search or a long talk about why anything matters. Girls' Last Tour pairs simple cute art with a quiet and lonely mood set among huge empty structures. It is calm and often funny but also melancholy. It suits readers who like slow and thoughtful slice of life and post-apocalyptic settings without action or gore.
