The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses

好きな子がめがねを忘れた

Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta

Komura is a shy middle school boy. Mie sits right next to him in class and he is hopelessly in love with her. Mie can barely see a thing without her glasses. She keeps leaving them at home anyway. Without them she squints hard and leans in very close to see anything. On those days Komura looks after her. He even lends her his textbook. Every time her face ends up inches from his he nearly falls apart. That is the whole setup. The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses gets a lot out of it. Chapters are short and built on small moments in class and around school. Not much happens in a big way. That is the point. It suits readers who like gentle and wholesome romantic comedy about first love between two awkward kids.
