Boku wa Mari no Naka
Isao Komori moved to the city for college and then stopped going to class. Now he spends his days alone in his apartment playing games. His one bright spot is a high school girl named Mari Yoshizaki. She shops at his local convenience store at night. He has been watching her from a distance. One night he follows her on her way home. Then he wakes up in Mari's body. His own body is still back at his apartment and living as usual. The Komori living there has never even heard of Mari. Now he has to pass as her at school and at home. Inside Mari is a psychological thriller by Shuzo Oshimi about identity and loneliness. It treats sexuality bluntly and includes nudity. It suits adult readers who like uneasy stories that keep them guessing.
