DEATH NOTE

Light Yagami has the best grades at his Tokyo high school. During class he sees a black notebook fall into the school yard. The shinigami Ryuk dropped it on purpose. He wants to watch what a human will do with it. Write a name in it while picturing the face and that person dies. Light decides to use it to wipe out criminals and build a world without crime. As the deaths pile up the public starts calling the unseen killer Kira. An eccentric genius detective known only as L takes the case. Death Note is a battle of wits between two brilliant minds who each try to unmask the other. Most of the tension comes from plans, rules and bluffs rather than fights. Fans of crime thrillers, moral debates and clever plotting will feel at home.
