I Am a Hero

アイアムアヒーロー

Hideo Suzuki is 35 and works as an assistant to a manga artist in Tokyo. He once had a series of his own but it did not last. He has a girlfriend and very little money. He is jumpy and paranoid and talks to himself when no one is around. He also owns a licensed sporting shotgun and follows the gun laws to the letter. The first volume takes its time with his anxious daily life. Then strange incidents start to pile up and the people around him begin to act in ways that make no sense. I Am a Hero is slow-burn outbreak horror seen through one timid and very ordinary man. It suits readers who like dread and dark humor more than nonstop action. Expect heavy gore, body horror and some sexual content.
