Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Toritsu Jujutsu Koutou Senmon Gakkou

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is a prequel set before the main Jujutsu Kaisen story. Yuta Okkotsu is sixteen and an easy target for bullies. That turns out to be bad news for the bullies. A girl named Rika was his childhood friend and she died when they were small. Now she haunts him as a giant curse that tears into anyone who hurts him. The jujutsu authorities want him executed. Satoru Gojo has another idea and enrolls him at a Tokyo school that trains sorcerers. Yuta's new classmates include a boy who speaks only in rice ball fillings and a talking panda. He has to learn to fight alongside the curse instead of hiding from it. Newcomers can start here. Fans of the main series get useful background on several familiar faces. Expect monster fights and some bloody violence.
