Goodbye, Eri
さよなら絵梨
Sayonara Eri
Goodbye, Eri is a long one-shot by Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto. Nearly every page is laid out like footage from a phone camera. The camera belongs to a boy named Yuta. His mother is seriously ill and asks him to film her daily life. The movie he edits from that footage gets a harsh reaction at school. Then he meets Eri. She loves films and wants to help him make a new one. She has him watch film after film to learn the craft. It is a quiet story about grief, memory and making movies. It suits readers who like Fujimoto's shorter works and stories about filmmaking.
