Memories of Emanon
おもいでエマノン
Omoide Emanon
In the late 1960s a young man boards a ferry in Japan. On board he meets a young woman traveling alone. She has long hair and freckles and she smokes. She calls herself Emanon. Read backward the name spells no name. As they talk through the night she tells him something hard to believe. She says she remembers everything that has happened since life on Earth began. Shinji Kajio wrote the story and Kenji Tsuruta drew it with careful and detailed pen work. Much of it plays out as a conversation between two strangers. Memories of Emanon is quiet and thoughtful science fiction about memory and time. It suits readers who like mood and ideas more than action. There is some brief nudity.
