Tomoyo was the one person she leaned on. In a fury Tomoyo storms into the father's home and takes Mariko's ashes. Then she carries the urn to a seaside place that Mariko once mentioned. My Broken Mariko is a raw and angry story about grief and a painful friendship. Along the way Tomoyo has to face what she could and could not have done for her friend. The story deals directly with suicide and abuse. It is for adult readers who are ready for heavy subject matter and a heroine with rough edges.
